Forgotten Matter

Forgotten Matter is a photographic series that investigates the relationship between the body and natural forms.

The series presents a visual dialogue between my body and found materials from a riverbed. The images were made by returning to a riverbank in South East London along the River Thames. I would return to the space daily and collect objects washed up on the shore. A particular interest grew in the rock forms, particularly flint pieces, in which I recognised bodily forms.
